The discussion touched on the development of capital programmes within local authorities and the importance Net Zero plays in shaping those. This included the increasing interest in renewable generation and local area energy generation and how such projects would impact the electricity networks.
This meeting was an important opportunity to highlight the SP Energy Networks Strategic Optimiser team and the support they are providing and will continue to provide to local authorities in our licence area.
Introduction to Scottish Heads of Property Services network by SP Energy Networks colleagues, jointly with SSEN, giving a presentation about our support for local authorities. This includes access to our Open Data Platform, support with Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategies and our Strategic Optimiser team. The presentation was an opportunity for the members of the SHOPS network to get better acquainted with SP Energy Networks and ask questions of the colleagues presenting.
