Here are relevant documents and feedback from the event:
Dear stakeholder,
The energy landscape is undergoing a seismic shift. Emerging technologies, such as smart grids, renewables, and digital solutions are reshaping the way we generate, distribute, and consume energy. This means that our role – how we plan, design, and operate the network for our customers – must evolve.
In response, we are transitioning to a Distribution System Operator (DSO). However, delivering this will mean big changes for us. As a valuable local authority or local government body, we’re delighted to invite you to our webinar on Thursday 18th April, 14.00 - 15.00 to discuss the challenges and opportunities DSO provides us with, as well as an open discussion with you to help shape our plans for the future.
Don’t miss out, secure your spot today by registering below!
What is DSO?
The traditional electricity network is being transformed by the integration of renewable energy sources and energy decentralisation. The operation and management of these new resources require a digital grid that is smart and flexible. This evolution requires us to take on system operator functions and transition to a DSO, responsible for distributing and managing energy from the generation sources to the final consumers.
Featuring senior representatives and subject matter experts from SP Energy Networks, the webinar will seek to explain our approach to this evolving network operation, while working with you as a valuable stakeholder to understand your decarbonisation aspirations and how we can support the development of your local, regional and national energy plans. We would like to work with you to understand your needs and help facilitate the energy infrastructure suitable to deliver your net zero aspirations.
Your feedback and participation are pivotal as we work together to shape the energy future. We look forward to welcoming you to this engaging discussion.
Kind regards,
SP Energy Networks
